Root Canals

If one or more of your teeth has decayed badly or severely infected, your dentist may recommend a root canal treatment to save your tooth. Root canal treatment helps in relieving the pain and discomfort, resolving the infection problem and restoring your natural tooth. At ComfoDent clinics, we implement up-to-date techniques and equipment to provide a comfortable root canal procedure for our patients who require it.

What is root canal treatment?

Inside the hard layers of our teeth, there is a space filled with soft dental pulp made up of nerves and blood vessels. This space is called the root canal system. If bacteria enter this space, the pulp may get infected and require root canal treatment (also known as endodontic treatment). During this treatment, your dentist will remove the pulp inside of your infected tooth, cleans and disinfects the root canals, fills them up with filling material and seals them.

Who can do root canal treatment?

At ComfoDent clinics, our highly trained and experienced dentists will provide you with a quick, effective root canal treatment.

Will I need to place an artificial crown (cap) on my tooth after root canal?

Depending on the condition of your tooth, your dentist may recommend that you put an artificial crown on your root canal treated tooth to protect it from cracking or fracturing in the future. To learn more about dental crowns, please click here.

Is root canal treatment painful?

Root canal treatment is straightforward and does not cause any discomfort more than what you would feel in a regular tooth restoration treatment. For patients who would like to feel more comfortable during the procedure, we offer sedation dentistry services.
