In the context of dental procedures, it is well-known that patients often experience anxiety, and their level of anxiety tends to be influenced by the magnitude of the dental procedure being performed.

Undergoing dental implant procedures can be a source of anxiety for many patients. However, a recent three-year study aimed to evaluate the effects of intravenous sedation (midazolam) on anxiety and comprehensive dental implant surgery. The study examined various factors, including patient anxiety levels, age, and gender, as well as the influence on the sedation process, patient cooperation, postoperative satisfaction, and acceptance of future dental implant surgeries. By delving into these findings, we can better understand the impact of intravenous sedation on dental implant procedures for both patients and practitioners.
